1. In Traditional/Conventional face-to-face Education, the interaction between the teacher and students occur at the same place and time. They need communicate and must physically present at the same physical space at real time. In Distance Education, the mode of educational delivery is separated in time and place. The gap between the teacher and students can be bridged through technology.

2. Some of the benefits of distance learning are: saves time and money because it does not require commuting, asynchronous which convenience and flexible, gain extra knowledge through the present of using technologies, self-paced of learning, accessible, can be considerably cheaper, vast resources readily available and individualized instruction. Because of distance learning, individual learners and groups provide opportunities of taking advantage of conventional mode of learning as well as chances and time for self-directed learning utilizing various technologies such as those who have ailments, physical abilities, works, early marriages, age gaps, etc.

3.The four types of interaction in distance education:
Learner-Content Interaction – the interaction with content takes place when the learner establishes mew knowledge of encountering new information and combining it with the body of knowledge already by him/her.
Learner-Instructor Interaction – interaction with instructor can help student the interpretations of course information. The instructor becomes more of facilitator in this type of interaction.
Learner-Learner Interaction – this type of interaction is intended to  promote understanding of the course content and stimulate critical thinking. Collaborative learning between student and others should be needed to complete academic requirements, or what we call teamwork.
v  Learner-Technology/System Interaction – the learners must be computer-literate because they view their interaction with technology affected by their access to technology.

     4. “Interaction is the key component of this use of the technology to support a more social learning, negotiating meaning through interaction with peers over distance, and forming a sense of community using the technology.” - Amirian

Just like in any exchange of communication, interaction is the most important element to enhance knowledge of oneself as well as social learning with others. Interaction plays an important role to create a community even in over a distance because through the use of technology, we can interact with others in any two way direction such as web that face-to-face at the same time, or message/feedback later by means of e-mail. With the use of technology, we can meet and find friends all around the world; we can learn their culture and other information across the other countries through the internet.
